Privacy Policy for MAX App-based Access Control Products
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy informs users of our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for the MAX App-based access control products (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
To provide secure access control and manage in-app features, we collect the following:
• User-Provided Information: Phone number, and access credentials (keycodes, Wiegand codes).
• Transaction Information: If you make an in-app purchase or subscribe to a service, we collect transaction history and subscription status.
• Note: We do not store credit card numbers. All payments are processed securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Automatically Collected Technical Data: Device identifiers (UUID), IP addresses, and Operating System versions. This is required to ensure secure hardware-to-app communication.
3. Purpose of Data Processing
We use your data strictly for the following purposes:
• Access Control: To verify authorized entry and maintain site security logs.
• Account Management: To fulfill in-app purchases and manage premium features.
• Security: To prevent fraudulent access and monitor system health.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with third parties only to facilitate the App’s core functions:
• Cloud Infrastructure: Data is stored on secure Cloud Servers and databases.
• Payment Processors: Apple (App Store) and Google (Play Store) process all financial transactions.
• Technical Support: Service providers may have limited access to data solely for troubleshooting on our behalf. These parties are contractually bound to maintain data confidentiality.
5. Data Security & Encryption
We implement industry-standard security measures, including Encryption in Transit (HTTPS/TLS) and Encryption at Rest, to ensure that your access credentials and transaction data are protected from unauthorized access.
6. Your Rights: Access and Deletion
In compliance with global privacy standards (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the following rights:
• Right to Delete: You may delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the App’s settings.
• Right to Know: You may request a copy of the personal data we have collected about you.
• Data Retention: We retain data only as long as your account is active. Financial records are retained for the period required by tax laws (typically 7 years).
7. Children’s Privacy
Our products are not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Terms & Conditions for MAX App-Based Access Control
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the MAX App-based access control products (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use of the App and delete it from your device.
2. User Accounts and Security
• Administrative Access: Only users with “Admin” privileges may enter or manage Personal Information and access credentials (keycodes/Wiegand codes).
• Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Any activity occurring under your account is your sole responsibility.
3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
• Payment Processing: All purchases (one-time or subscriptions) are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By making a purchase, you agree to their respective terms of service.
• Automatic Renewal: If you purchase a subscription, it will automatically renew at the end of the billing cycle unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Pricing: We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Any price changes for ongoing subscriptions will be communicated in advance.
4. Refund and Cancellation Policy
• Refunds: All sales are handled by the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). To request a refund, you must follow the procedures established by the respective platform. We do not directly issue refunds for in-app purchases.
• Cancellation: You may cancel a subscription at any time through your device’s subscription management settings. Access to premium features will continue until the end of the current paid billing period.
5. License and Use Restrictions
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the App for access control purposes. You agree not to:
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or hack the App or connected Cloud Servers.
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Resell or redistribute the App’s services without written consent.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we strive for 100% uptime, we do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. Access control functionality depends on your internet connection and hardware performance.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MaxControls shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:
• Loss of access to a site due to internet failure or hardware malfunction.
• Unauthorized access to a site resulting from shared or compromised user credentials.
• Any amount exceeding the total fees paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App, including paid features, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or if payment is successfully disputed (chargeback).
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Fountain Valley, California.
