Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support:
    • Respond to customer inquiries via incoming calls, providing troubleshooting assistance for gate operators.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Problem Resolution:
    • Provide customers with a diagnosis and resolve technical issues related to thier gate operators.
    • Document customer issues and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Stay updated on product knowledge and advancements in the gate operators and access control industry. 
    • Conduct training sessions for customers on system usage and best practices.

 

Working Hours:

  • Hours: 8:00 – 4:30, Monday – Friday (on-site in Fountain Valley)
  • Occasional overtime may be required

 

Experience:

  • Gate operator experience (highly preferred)
  • Experience is great, but we are happy to train

Maximum Controls is a fast-paced, growing design and manufacturer of gate operators and security product systems in Orange County, CA. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in expanding our market presence nationwide. This position requires extensive local and Western states travel to meet with distributors, attend tradeshows, and conduct customer training on our product line. While experience in the industry or manufacturing field is preferred, we are open to training the right candidate. This is a salaried position with a bonus structure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Grow current customer sales by fostering strong relationships with existing distributors.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase the customer base in the assigned territory.
  • Customer Training:
    • Conduct comprehensive product training sessions for customers, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of our gate operators and security product systems.
    • Provide ongoing support to customers, addressing inquiries and offering guidance on product features and applications.
  • Tradeshow Participation:
    • Represent Max Controls at industry tradeshows and events, actively engaging with potential customers and showcasing our innovative product line.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance booth displays and promotional materials.
  • Market Research:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
    • Communicate effectively with management, providing insights and recommendations based on market research.
  • Travel:
    • Travel locally and within the Western states to maximize business opportunities and establish strong connections with distributors.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in outside sales, particularly in the gate operators and security product systems industry or manufacturing field, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong customer service skills.
  • Critical thinker who is open to learning and adapting to new challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Positive attitude and effective communication skills across various employee and customer levels.
